Virtual heavy metal band PENTAKILL — featuring infernal lead vocalist Karthus, blazing axe-man Mordekaiser, enchanting keyboardist Sona, rumbling bassist Yorick, berserker drummer Olaf, and new member Kayle, a winged warrior goddess who sings songs presaging the end of the world — is breaking further out of the hundred-million-player League Of Legends gaming universe and onto the playlists of metalheads worldwide. An in-game heavy metal band from the massively popular multi-player online video game League of Legends, Pentakill operates somewhere between the opulent, fantasy-driven power metal of Dragonforce and the gimmicky, yet cleverly constructed inside metal of Dethklok.

Smite and Ignite is a metal album by the fictional band Pentakill from Riot Games , the developer of the video game League of Legends The band features a series of characters from the video game, and the album features songs based and named on items from it as well.

Update July 22, 2017: We didn't have to wait very long before getting to hear some of this new League of Legends album, as two singles from it are now up on YouTube. Now, taking a page out of Blizzard's infamous Elite Tauren Chieftain , it looks like Pentakill is set to become its own real-world band, with the "Smite and Ignite" album due out on June 3.

The end of Vagabond came with the reformation of TNT in 1996, and subsequently the band members went their separate ways, with Jørn joining a band formed in by Whitesnake former guitarists Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody called The Snakes After a tour with The Snakes playing mostly Whitesnake covers and the recording of an album released only in Japan called Once Bitten , Jørn was fired from the band and joined other projects, including the Symphonic Metal band Mundanus Imperium, which resulted on the album The Spectral Spheres Coronation.

We've also got the names of all the songs from the credits - aside from those two singles, we'll have "Frozen Heart," "Infinity Edge," "Rapid Firecannon," "Cull," "Mortal Reminder," "Dead Man's Plate," "The Blade of the Ruined King," and "The Hex Core mk-2." I never realised until now quite how metal the items in League of Legends sound.

But your home base in far from the action, and every second you spend hoofing it back towards the game is time that the other team is taking advantage of. And that's why it's so devastating when one team gets a pentakill: It means the team that pulled it off has unfettered run of the match for however long it will take for them to slowly meander back into the fray.

You can buy Pentakill Kayle skin for 1350 RP in the League of Legends in-game store. Video of Pentakill's live musical carnage” in Bandle City, performing Mortal Reminder from the new album Grasp of the Undying, recorded in the catacombs of the Shadow Isles. Then Sona is the scorpion-cum-keyboardist, Mordekaiser plays a guitar carved out of a battle-beaten great axe and steampunk ogre Olaf plays drums with sticks made of glowing human skulls.

The likes of Motley Crue's Tommy Lee, Danny Lohner of Nine Inch Nails and a plethora other metal big-hitters record actual music related to the game, some of which has already hit the Billboard Top 40 and garnered millions of YouTube streams. And so Yorick slept beneath the desert until Karthus and Kayle prised open his tomb.

AND THAT'S WHEN THE BURNING FERRY BEARING KARTHUS, YORICK AND KAYLE RAN AGROUND ON SONA'S BASALT RING OF FIRE. The hunched figure of Yorick, awakened by Karthus and Kayle, was heading south, leaving a bloody trail behind. The band, cleverly named after the often unbelievable feat of killing five players at once in League of Legends with one character , exists seemingly to bring a taste of Metal to the League of Legends fanbase.

Although the bulk of the work was done by Riot Games' in-house composers and sound designers, the album also features collaborations with some of metal's Season 8 most respected musicians - there are cameos from the likes of Tommy Lee , Nine Inch Nails alumnus Danny Lohner and Noora Louhimo, singer with the Finnish metal band Battle Beast.

Billed as the fictional land of Valoran's most famous rock band, the group is fronted by the demonic Karthus, joined by guitarist Mordekaiser, keyboardist Sona, bass player Yorick, drummer Olaf, and recently added golden warrior goddess Kayle on vocals.
